When I was in school we hung out at the Jackson 5&10 which later became True Value. They allowed us to go to town for lunch. Most of us that had the money would buy the chocolate covered peanuts or get a small hamburger from the Whiz or White Flash. We also hung out at the old gym in the old high school. That was a pretty nice school for its age. After school the hang out was the old drive in on Quicksand Road. It was a great time to grow up and there were none of the problems around that kids face now. Posted: 02/24/2009 |
